Here comes the sun

I can’t help but have a little thought about the weather, because we in central Europe suffer from long sunshine deficit, and for about six months we complain about how miserable the weather is. So at the beginning of spring, we are all so excited and we welcome the first spring sunshine …it’s a real life saver. Can you imagine somebody saying something like: “Oh no, sunshine again- how horrible?“

But everything is relative, and there are countries of course, where sunshine does bring people headache. My friend from Cyprus, for example, always complains, how hot it is. “It’s hot!“ is actually such a frequent statement in Cyprus, it sounds almost like saying: “How are you…“. And when I asked my friend where she would like to live, she replied without hesitation: “In Sweden..it must be beautiful- cloudy and cold all the time!“ I must say she got me right there…

People complain about the weather all the time everywhere. I wonder if there is a country with ‘ideal‘ weather that people living there would just love… Anyway, I am the spring lover and welcome the sun with enthusiasm…like all my neighbours in Central Europe..it’s not going to change..
