Amazing Iceland

I was more or less convinced to go on the trip by my son, who wished to overcome, “complicated natural conditions”.  For him, the bigger the frost and the lack of civilian security, the better. For me, of course everything is the exact opposite. So I got ready for 'emergency mode' and we set off at the beginning of July, when they promised me a “Summer Iceland”…

True, it was not like that, still around ten to twelve degrees, but in Reykjavik, what calmed me down was the „normal” supermarket, right at the airport. In Reykjavik, it had everything that an overly dependent on civilisation person that I am, needed. My thoughts, however, always at the end of every day were for me the most crucial point - to find a hotel.

... True, it didn’t always go the way I imagined, but it confirmed that romantic memories would eventually erase feelings of momentary discomfort...

Iceland is said to be one of the most amazing places in the world that you have to see at least once in a lifetime. After I reincarnated myself to a more modest traveller, I started to be very curious of how it will all go ...

Iceland belongs geologically partly to North America, and to Europe, which I did not know at all.

In July, it is probably the best time to catch the warmest weather and sunny days.

Green hills are where some of the 'wild' local animals - sheep - are grazing. When you scare them off with a passing car, they look at you with a blank stare, wondering who you are…

In any case, Iceland is a terrific country where I look forward to coming again. For my next trip I will give myself a new resolve - I will read something about every new country I'm going to go before I get there... for instance that there are hotels in Iceland, or that you DO need to take a hat in July :))
